Chalice Serrano and Kristen Faulconer to Record Theme Song For High Speed Magazine Show
It’s official that the upcoming High Speed Magazine show is having two incredible artists working on the theme song in what is certain to be an incredible collaborative effort.
It has been decided that singers Chalice Serrano who is about to re-embark on her world tour and Kristen Faulconer who is about to release a new album due at the end of the year will be collaborating on the the title track for the upcoming High Speed Magazine television show.
The track will be made available on iTunes and we will be shooting a full music video to go with the theme song when Chalice returns from her tour.
Below are a couple of samples of their music. As you can tell both artists have a very unique and distinctive style so it will be very interesting to see how they come together to develop a theme with mass appeal.
When I first met Chalice it was a couple of years ago shortly after Hot Import Nights – Los Angeles and I ended up at a studio where she was recording a track with Salt Lake city hip hop artist Calico. The interesting thing about it was that she had the flu and yet she still laid down some incredible hooks!
Many of you will remember Kristen Faulconer from her layout in the June 2009 issue. Kristen’s music style is sometimes pop, sometimes rock, sometimes pop rock. We are looking very forward to seeing what exactly is going to come of this collab. Of course we’ll keep you posted!

Prop 8 Struck Down By Judge
1
When a judge struck down California’s ban on same-sex marriage Wednesday, he handed gay rights advocates a historic and invigorating victory, but also a temporary one in a long fight that may be heading toward a showdown at the U.S. Supreme Court.
Even as Chief U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker’s toppling of Proposition 8 set off hours of celebration in some quarters – with many gays and lesbians seeing the ruling as not just a validation of marriage rights, but of their lives in general – opponents planned to seek a reversal at the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
Backers of the marriage ban said they were confident they would prevail in the end, and predicted that Walker’s decision would energize people who believe marriage should be reserved for one man and one woman, just as the ban had mobilized gay rights proponents.
One of those who hailed the decision was Kristin Perry of Berkeley, whose desire to marry her partner of 10 years, Sandy Stier, prompted the couple to sue over Prop. 8, along with two men from Burbank. The initiative was approved by 52 percent of voters in November 2008, overturning a state Supreme Court ruling six months earlier that extended marital rights to gays and lesbians.

Singer Rhianna Cast For Battle Ship Movie

Singer Rhianna Cast For Battle Ship Movie
First off I can’t believe that Hollywood is so starved for original movie ideas that they’re actually making a movie based on one of the most boring board games known to man. Battleship! Really?
And now word is that pop music sensation Rhianna has been added to the cast. Don’t get me wrong she’s gorgeous but isn’t it already going to be tough enough to push this movie about a Navy fleet that has to deal with an alien invasion on the high seas.
These aliens (I am gonna risk an assumption that we’re not talking about the ones from south of the border here) are coming to Earth to suck up all of our resources and make life miserable for humans. Can you say ummmm I dunno … Independence Day? I think we’ve been here before! But I digress.
Peter Berg’s board game/alien invasion film, Battleship really had better have some incredible writing or something to make it worth it. What amazes me is that some damn executive over at the studio actually green lighted and gave money to make this thing. WTF?
The job will mark Rihanna’s feature acting debut, and she joins previously cast talents Taylor Kitsch, who will play the lead role, and Alexander Skarsgård, who will play his brother. The screenplay is written by Jon Hoeber and Erich Hoeber, and is currently aiming at a June 18, 2012 release date.
Director Berg is has previously directed The Rundown and The Kingdom, as well as starred in movies like Corky Romano and Smokin’ Aces.
Your Love – Exclusive High Speed Remix – Nicki Minaj/Chris Brown

Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj Cheesin
This track with Chris Brown in my opinion is really tight. It’s good to see that he hasn’t given up on his career despite the landmines thrown in his way as a result of his altercation with his ex-girlfriend Rhianna.
I’m not yet a fan of Nicki Minaj as a solo artist, but I do think she’s pretty cute on the various tracks I’ve heard her on but I am really looking forward to hearing some more of her stuff to see what if any range she has.
But peep this track and weigh in on if we should use it or lose it!
Nick Minaj is releasing her debut CD Nov.23rd titled ‘Pink Friday’ will you be buying a copy?

Katie Holmes in Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark
Hi guys,
Wanted to let you know we’ve just premiered the trailer for DON’T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK.
High Speed Magazine has your first look at Katie Holmes in her new film, “Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark.”
And if Katie’s ominous expression here is any indication of what’s to come, fans can expect to be kept on the edge of their seats come January 21, 2011, when the film is released.
The thriller tells the story of a young girl (Bailee Madison) who moves into an old mansion that her father (Guy Pearce) and his girlfriend (Katie Holmes) are restoring, when she unwittingly unleashes malicious demons that threaten to destroy her family.
This re-imagining of ABC’s 1973 telefilm of the same name is written and produced by “Pan’s Labyrinth’s” Guillermo del Toro and “The Chronicles of Narnia’s” Mark Johnson and directed by newcomer Troy Nixey.
